Dr. Perkel is a member of the American Urologic Association. He has served as Mercer University School of Medicine’s Chief of the Division of Urology, for the Department of Surgery, and as Assistant Clinical Professor, for the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, from 2005 to 2013.
Dr. Perkel joined Urology Specialists of Georgia in 2005 and he treats all aspects of urology including kidney stones, prostate cancer, urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and mesh related problems. Along with Dr. Casey, he performed the first da Vinci Robotic Laparoscopic Prostatectomy in the region in 2007. He has performed over 450 Robotic Procedures and specializes in minimally invasive da Vinci robotic and laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Perkel is a featured speaker at community health events to help promote awareness in screening for prostate cancer.
He enjoys traveling, yoga, outdoor activities, and spending time with his family.
